My name is Venroy Nairne, President of COTTON TREE TOYS FOR KIDS organization. I am a native of Union, Balaclava, in the parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies.
In retrospect of my childhood days growing up in St. Elizabeth I realized that there was no system in place for our youth who were not privileged to get toys and gifts to brighten their smiles at Christmas time.
In December 1994, I spent my vacation in New York with my nieces and nephews. I observed how excited they were to open their gifts on Christmas morning with smiles and laughter I never experienced as a child.
Their enthusiasm left a profound impact on my life that caused me to reflect on the children in my community who would have loved to open gifts for their Christmas but the economic constraint was not supportive to their situation. After that experience I pledged to do everything humanly possible to put the same smiles on the faces of children in Union, Balaclava.
In addition to my role as President of Cotton Tree Toys for Kids Organization, I am the CEO of Temple Guard Ironworks a fencing company located in Bronx, New York which provides services within the Tri-state in the areas of Security Gates, Window Guards, Fences and other iron work needs.
An enthusiast of great music, I am the manager U-Too Disco, a Music Center that provides entertainment for all occasions including: Parties, Showers, Weddings, and School Fun Days, just to name a few.
